Vitalia’s artistic journey is rooted in evolution of sound, identity, and creative expression. As a singer-songwriter and DJ, she embodies the modern multi-hyphenate artist, moving fluidly between disciplines to build a world that feels expansive, expressive, and entirely her own. Rather than choosing a single path, she’s learned that embracing every creative outlet has been key to shaping a bold and ever-changing artistic identity.
Her relationship with music began early, growing up in Montreal and performing at the Ukrainian Festival as a child. Those formative experiences gave her an early understanding of music as both cultural connection and personal expression, laying the foundation for a genre-blending sound that draws from pop, alternative, dance, and rock.
At the core of her artistry is songwriting as a form of emotional release. Vitalia opens up about the vulnerability of turning lived experience into music, and how writing has become a space to process identity, emotion, and transformation. With every release, she continues to lean into honesty, allowing imperfection and feeling to guide the creative process.
As a queer Ukrainian-Canadian artist, Vitalia also reflects on the importance of representation and staying connected to her roots. Her cultural identity continues to shape her storytelling and performance style, adding depth and meaning to everything she creates.
Across every medium she works in, Vitalia is constantly expanding, experimenting, and redefining what her artistry can be, building a body of work that feels authentic, fluid, and unapologetically hers.
